Do you support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

Absolutely. We welcome children with special educational/physical needs and recognise the positive contribution that can be made to development through integration in our nursery setting. We have a named special needs co-ordinator who would work with your child and any outside agencies in the care of your child to ensure that children with special needs gain maximum benefit from their time at our nursery.

Do you offer outdoor learning opportunities or a Forest school?

We are big on outdoor learning and have an active Forest school, please visit our forest school page here to find out more.

Can I look around the nursery before I decide to join the waiting list?

Of course! We are happy to show you around to get a snapshot of nursery life. The best times for visiting is between 10am and 11am. Please call us on call 01732 811395 or email info@plaxtolnurseryschool.co.uk to arrange a visit.

Do I Need to pay Deposit or Registration fees?

Yes – there is a £20 registration fee to join our waiting list which is non-refundable. If you are after just the Government Free Education Entitlement, there is no registration fee but a deposit of £30 is required to retain your space. This will be refunded latest at your 4th week with us.

Do you offer 15 hours and 30 hours funding?

Yes – we offer 15 and 30 hours early years funding, eligible from the term after your child turns 3. You will need to apply for the extended hours for 30 hours funding. Check you are eligible.

How do you store children’s lunch boxes?

We have a large refrigerator to keep all the children’s lunch boxes to ensure the food temperature is kept fresh before lunch.

Do children go on outings from the nursery?

We love school trips and outings. Some of our outings include: Autumn and Spring walk around our rural environment; Lambing to see the new-born lamb; trip to farm to pick strawberries; trip to the library etc. We also have visit to nursery by Zoolab – the mobile animal farm, doctors, nurses, vets, police officers and many more.

Do you accept Childcare vouchers and Tax Free Childcare?

Yes, we accept all childcare vouchers and register to receive tax free childcare. See https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare to register for tax-free childcare.
